Oh baby, is this one exciting! I woke up to the email confirmation of my purchase, totally unaware that my lovely wife had snagged the bundle for me in the last few hours.
While it fell just shy of it's goal of $1,000,000 to support Palestine, it did manage to raise over $900,000 for the United Nations Relief and Work Agency, which will be providing food assistance to over one million Palestinians in areas with heavy destruction. I love to see it!
On top of doing good, this bundle put works from 1,063 creators into the hands of the 97,162 folks who purchased the bundle! As one of those lucky kids I now have a very large pile of games (and other cool content) that I can work my way though!
I haven't even made my way through the list yet, but I'm currently on page 19 of 43, reading game titles and adding interesting options to my library to later download and play.
I've seen a number of journal games, which is a very interesting concept to me. The Portal at Hill House looked very interesting to me, I think I'll grab my journal and give it a try. I've never heard of this kind of gameplay before, but I love the idea already.
As someone who wants to play more tabletop games but can't get a group together right now to do it, a solo adventure sounds just right!
I was also happy to see Catlateral Damage included in this bundle. I kickstarted this game way back in 2014, and it never fails to disappoint. I've played Catlateral Damage many times since it released and there really is something special about living the dream of cat life, knocking everything off shelves, jumping into every box in sight. Some days I want to quit my job, and just live that cat life. Since I need to pay bills though I'll just keep playing this game instead. I hope it finds a few new fans in this bundle!
Another game I was very excited to see on the list was the Stillness of the Wind. I've had this one on my Steam wishlist for a while now, and so I can't wait to give it a playthrough! The aesthetic alone is enough to get me - I mean, just look at that cover art - but the game itself looks amazing as well. The game describes itself as "a quiet rumination on life and loss" and you know that's going to be my jam. I game that is beautiful and will also make me cry? I'm here for it. I love the look of the isometric design, and the simplicity of tending to your home, and receiving news from the city is compelling to me. It sounds a little like a reverse Stardew Valley.
Well I'll leave things here for now, because I could keep digging into this bundle all day! If you have any recommendations from the bundle, leave them in the comments below!
